Sunday, 15 August 2010 Description The apartment is nested in Erbalunga, a small fishermen village off the eastern coast of the Cap-Corse. It has one double bedrom, but the living has one double sofa bed. Overall, enough sleeping for four adults. The flat is set in an old and quiet maison-de-ma?tre which has been divided. It is just 50 m away from the beach. The village is famous for its Genoese tower which is listed as an Official Historical Monuments. How to get there Bastia, located 9 km south of Erbalunga is well connected to the continent. From France, there are direct flights from the main cities (Paris, Nice, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse, Lille). Starting from spring and until early autumn direct flights are also possible from smaller cities (Montpellier, Clermond-ferrand, Bordeaux, Nantes, Strasbourg, Metz-Nancy, Poitier, …). During the same period, many European cities are also directly connected (London, Geneva, Brussels, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Hamburg, Goteborg, Manchester, Bristol, Cologne, … ). The airport is 20 km south of Bastia, about 25min, i.e., 35min from Erbalunga. From Bastia there is a regular bus service to the airport, costing around 9 euros. A taxi trip should cost around 50 euros. If you do not like flying, you can come by boat. Bastia is connected to France and Italy (Marseille, Toulon, Nice, Savona, Genova, Livorno, Piombino, Olbia) Once in Bastia centre, you can take a bus to Erbalunga (around 2 euros). There are regular services every 30 min departure from Place-St-Nicolas. Agrandir le plan The village Erbalunga though small is well equipped with a dozen of restaurants ranging from cheap to expensive (one star Michelin). It has several small shops: grocery, fine grocery, bakery, fishmonger, butcher, newspapers, pharmacy, post-office (with cash point), etc. Activities The flat is at around 50 m from the beach, and you might just be happy with that. However, there are many possible activities nearby: trekking, sea diving, sea kayaking, sailing, tennis, riding, cannyoning, paragliding, etc. Local information The local council.
